Baseball Banquet

The Rattler baseball banquet was held on Tuesday, May 19 in the school's cafeteria. The teams were presented with awards and thank you's from the coaches for the hard work they put in during the season. The food was excellent - thanks to the NC Gourmet Club for a wonderful feast.

The coaches expressed their extreme thanks to all of the parents, sponsors, helpers, administrators and booster club members for their participation and support.

Next on the agenda for Rattler baseball is the Prescott wooden bat tournament being held in Prescott from May 23-25. Go Rattlers.

North Canyon's three summers teams start play on June 3. Please Come out and support your Rattlers!

Saturday, May 16

The first annual alumni game was a huge success and a ton of fun. The current Rattlers beat the former Rattlers ( The Venom ) 5-3. The Venom have vowed to come back next year spitting fire with even more former players to help turn the contest in their favor. The game was a wooden bat game - which helped keep the scoring down.

As with the current Rattler teams, the former Rattler teams had a ton of pitching and they displayed it on Saturday. Aaron George, Matt George, Andrew Shriver and Efrain Felix all threw for the Venom.

The Rattlers threw a different pitcher every inning to keep the wiley veterans off stride.

Thanks to all of the former players for coming back and creating a "link to the past". We are looking forward to next years game.

State Tournament - Game 2

The Rattlers season ended last night with a 6-4 loss to Brophy. The Rattlers dug themselves a hole early giving up 6 runs in the first three innings. The Rattlers then battled back scoring 4 in the top of 4 to turn the game into a thriller.

Senior Miles Moeller threw an outstanding game in his last outing as a Rattler hurler. Miles threw all 6 innings for the Rattlers holding second ranked Brophy scoreless over the last 3 innings.

MIles also led the charge offensively with 3 hits and 2 RBI's. Conner Bowen had a huge 2 run single in the 4th inning to help the Rattlers get back in it.

Thanks to all the fans that came out to cheer the team on.
