Freshmen win their opener.

Your freshman baseball team opened up their season Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Boulder Creek!! Pitchers Oliver Balicki and Jesse Kinney worked together allowing only three hits. The Rattler's overcame their 'first game jitters,' launching a six hit attack and put together a good defensive performance. Adam White's clutch single in the bottom of the 5th gave the Rattlers the assurance run needed to seal the victory. Way to go North Canyon Rattler Baseball!

The North Canyon JV Rattlers battled the wind, umpire and Cesar Chavez on Thursday afternoon and came away with a tough 8-7 loss. After being down early 5- 1, the Rattlers battled back to tie the score at 5 all in the 4th. The lead see-sawed back and forth until the bottom of the 6th when Chavez scored their final run for the victory.

Zach Walker took the mound for North Canyon and went 5 innings giving up 7 runs on 6 hits with 7 K's and 1 walk. Ricky Hamilton pitched the 6th giving up 1 run on 1 hit, 1 walk and 1 K.

The offense was led by a pair of Zachs (Haney 2/4, triple 3 Rbi's and Kopp 3/3, 1 RBI) Conner Lapine added an RBI going 2/4.

Following this weekends Cheerleading Compitition volunter work, the JV will be back at it vs. Millenium on Tuesday March 9th 3:45 at Bowen field. Hope to see you all there!!!

The North Canyon JV Rattlers opened the 2010 baseball season with a tough 6 - 4 loss to visiting Boulder Creek on Tuesday afternoon. First game jitters led to some uneven pitching and shakey defense

Ryan Budrewicz went the 1st 3-2/3 innings giving up 6 runs on 6 hits with 1K & 6 walks. Easton Dieters followed with 3-1/3 innings - 0 runs on 4 hits & 1 walk.

It took the Rattlers a few innings to get the offense going - Zack Haney & Ricky Hamilton led the way with 2 hits a piece. Zack along with Ryan Budrewicz and Zack Kopp each had an RBI.

The Rattlers will try to regroup with a victory at Cesar Chavez on Thursday afternoon 3/4/10. Check the website for driving instructions.
